Hearts in Sync: Living the Mission of Christ

Some may say that the Heart of Jesus is a devotion of little meaning in our modern world. The challenge is to pass from an individual devotion to placing ourselves in the Heart of Christ as individuals and communities so that He may be the driving force of our being missionaries. To enter into the Heart of Jesus allows us to understand his feelings toward the world and especially towards those the world considers to be the least of our brothers and sisters, it allows us to follow his intuitions and inspirations.

When we dwell within the Heart of Christ, we discover that we are never alone in our mission. His Heart becomes our refuge and power source, transforming our fears into courage and our weaknesses into instruments of grace. As we allow ourselves to be shaped by the rhythm of His Heart—its steady beat of mercy, its boundless capacity for forgiveness—we become living witnesses to a love the world desperately needs. Devotion to the Sacred Heart is not a retreat from the modern world, but the most radical response to it: becoming hearts that beat in sync with His, bringing His tender presence into every encounter and every moment of our shared human journey.
