Loving enemies, forgiving endlessly, choosing humility over power, and putting others before ourselves are not easy paths. They stretch us, unsettle us, and ask for a conversion of heart rather than mere agreement of mind. Because the Christian way is demanding, we are tempted to admire it as a beautiful idea while quietly setting it aside as unrealistic.
