Easter Hope

Christ is Risen, Alleluia ~ Easter is not just an experience but also a pledge of new life in Christ. Belief spurs people on to a new relationship with God and others. In trusting God's goodness, actions change the lives of those around us, as we see in the early church, see Acts 5:12-16.

In accepting Jesus as the Risen One, we are challenged to find ways to live out this faith, to build God's kingdom. We are challenged to believe, to praise God and to have life in Jesus' name. Our encounter with the Risen Lord in the eucharist and in our everyday lives, calls us to action, leading us closer to God and to one another!

On the island of Patmos, John the evangelist, does as Jesus asks ~ writing down the message of the resurrection for all who come after. "Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples that are not written in this book. But these are written that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that through this belief you may have life in his name" (Jn. 20: 30-31).
