Charity - Soul of the Mission
The Apostle John wrote: "Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God" (1 John 4:7). God is like our first and most important "home." When we stay connected to God, we're filled with a divine love so powerful it can light up the whole world.
When we understand this, it's easy to see why caring about others and spreading God's message is so important for Christians—whether you're one person, a small church group, or part of the larger Church family around the world.
When followers of Jesus eagerly help others grow spiritually and improve their lives, their strength comes from knowing they share this special mission. These acts of service show that love is "the heart of all missionary work" - it has always been and still is what drives us forward. Love is also the only measure we need for deciding what to do or not do, what to change or leave the same. Love should guide every action we take and be the goal we're aiming for. When we act out of love or let love inspire us, nothing we do is shameful, and everything becomes good.
Like a candle that loses nothing by lighting another candle, sharing God's love with others doesn't diminish our own, it multiplies the light in the world!
