Our misery we don’t discern

So many for a change they yearn

A modern-day crucifixion

 

We frown before dereliction

Offering casual unconcern

Shocking levels of affliction

Our misery we don’t discern

 

Making laws of interdiction

Law’s answer is to be more stern

As Christians we cannot just spurn

For they need our benediction
