10 Commandments of Ecology
1. Save energy. Waste doesn't improve the quality of life.
2. Water is precious and more and more scarce; conserve.
3. Don't produce so much garbage, remember the 4 "R"s: Reduce, Recover, Recycle, Respect.
4. Use containers that are environmentally friendly; avoid the non-organic.
5. Don't store up an arsenal of chemicals in the home; limit the use of detergents, pesticides, antifreeze, dyes...
6. Go easy on the plastic! Don't discard it in the environment and they are hard to recycle.
7. Economize your paper use: To produce a ton of paper, 13.1 acres of woodland are needed.
8. Use your car with moderation. Use public transit when possible, even better walk or bike.
9. Strive to better the ecological condition around you; don't litter, don't start fires... etc.
10. Think globally and act locally: Take an active participation in solutions to ecological problems; stay informed about the big problems of our planet.
