If You Want to Understand God

I came across the book titled Joshua by Joseph Grisone when I was discerning my vocation and I share a few quotes I jotted down that have stayed with me, they hit a chord in their simplicity ~  

* Don’t allow yourself to be discouraged, everyone has imperfections, that’s the way God made us. As long as people are striving to love God and care for one another, they are pleasing God. Perfection is more a process of striving than a state to be attained ~ so one’s perfection is not measured by success in attaining a measurable goal but in attitudes constantly changing to ever more  perfectly reflect the mind of God.

* I feel drawn to all those people who are trying to bring love and unity back into the human family wherever I find them.

* If you want to understand God, you have the full expression of the Father in Jesus ~ begotten from endless time and born into this world in time to manifest God’s love for all his creatures.

* The churches concern should be to foster peoples relationship with God and show people how to work together, caring for one another and building trust and love among the families of nations.
