Comboni Missionaries Dream

We, Comboni Missionaries, long for a society in which no one remains excluded from work and from access to basic goods, a society in which all can live securely, look towards the future with hope, share the natural environment and preserve the beauty and species of the animal and plant world for generations to come.

We long for a society based on solidarity and fundamental equality and complementarity of women and men where no one is exploited because of sex, age or race. We long for a society where globalization serves the human person rather than aiming at profit.

We envision a society which respects the cultural traditions of each nation, and is sensitive to the weak and marginalized.

We dream of a society which also integrates traditional decision making and is based on Gospel values.

We live in a favoured time of communication and contact with those who are different from ourselves ~ we are challenged to make a special effort to build-up peace and work for justice ~ to bring us closer to a society where all people live in dignity as sisters and brothers in harmony with creation.
