Being

Kingship promises power, control, and recognition, yet all of these are fragile and fleeting. To be a Child of God, by contrast, is to belong—to live from a relationship that grants dignity not by achievement but by love. It affirms that our deepest worth is received, not seized.

This wisdom invites a reordering of desire. When identity is rooted in divine sonship or daughterhood, ambition is purified: power yields to trust, possession to gratitude, status to service. What the world calls “having everything” is revealed as small when compared to knowing to whom we belong. In that belonging lies a freedom no throne can confer and a joy no empire can secure.
